
Rod Stewart has revealed to Miriam O’Callaghan on Sunday with Miriam on RTÉ Radio 1 that he and his wife Penny Lancaster hope to spend increased time living in Ireland.
The iconic performer appeared on the RTÉ Radio 1 programme ahead of his scheduled Dublin gig next month, reports RTE.
“I can’t wait to get back to Dublin,” he told the host. “Do you know I have an apartment there now?”, reports RTE.
“So I hear – near the Aviva [Stadium],” O’Callaghan replied, reports RTE.
“Just up the road,” said Stewart, reports RTE.
“Would you spend more time here?” asked O’Callaghan?, reports RTE.
“We intend to,” said Stewart. “It’s decorated now… I think we’re coming over in the first week of May.”, reports RTE.
Stewart also told O’Callaghan that he is looking forward to performing the ballad Grace during his Dublin appearance, reports RTE.
“I’ll even do it twice if requested,” he added, reports RTE.
Stewart will take to the stage at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Sunday 26 May, reports RTE.
