Today, Saturday, will be the best day of the lot, with some sunshine breaking through in the afternoon, though there will be some showers along the west coast. Temperatures will begin to rise slightly from evening time.
Sunday will begin cloudy, but it will become increasingly brighter as the clouds move away throughout the day.
Bank Holiday Monday is expected to be very wet, with strong westerly winds during the day. Temperatures for the latter part of the weekend will be somewhat milder than as of late, with the thermometer reaching 15C in places.
Meteorological sources say that this April has been one of the coldest on record, as temperatures were well below 30-year averages.
