There has been mixed reactions to a video that emerged yesterday of the British Foreign Office Minister Mark Field forcibly grabbing a climate change protester and throwing her out of a black tie dinner.
In an announcement made on Friday, a spokesperson for the British Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed that Field had been suspended from his duties.
It is believed that the incident occurred during a black tie dinner event at London’s Mansion House on Thursday evening.
According to Sky News, Field was filmed grabbing the female protester after she entered the room demanding action on climate change.
Many believe that Mr Field was 100% right in stopping the protester in her tracks for fear that she could have been armed with a knife, gun or acid.
Social media users have been debating the video with Field receiving huge support arguing that the protester shouldn’t have been there in the first place and that she could have attacked someone if she had a weapon.
