Mixed reactions to Holohan urging people who aren’t vaccinated to step forward and get vaccinated immediately

There has been a very mixed reaction to Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer putting his foot down and urging those who haven’t already been vaccinated to step forward to get the jab as soon as possible.

Some people say that he has no right to demand what people do with their body while others say that people should get vaccinated to try and get the daily numbers down.

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has urged those who’ve decided to not to get vaccinated, for whatever reason, to step forward and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Holohan said that the vaccine is important in preventing illness or hospitalisation and has urged those who are not vaccinated to get vaccinated immediately.

Ireland has one of the biggest uptakes in vaccinations from around the world with around 90% of the population over the age of 12 said to be vaccinated.
