More and more students are saying they’re finding it impossible to get accommodation this year with many blaming the government’s handling of the influx of Ukrainians

On your bike, Eamon – people are getting sick and tired of Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan – who appear to not care less about the average Irish person or indeed the students around the country who are desperate to find accommodation for upcoming academic year.

Some Irish students are saying that they’re being treated like second class citizens in their own country with the forthcoming accommodation crisis they’re now facing.

Students are likely to miss out on their choice of accommodation in the coming months as the housing crisis intensifies throughout the country.

According to RTE, students in Galway are said to be facing serious problems, with accommodation operators have said that young people booking rooms may need to switch to twin rooms if they want to keep their place.

Pressures over price and availability are said to be leading students with no option but to make living arrangements in commuter towns and facing considerable time spent travelling to and from lectures.

In an effort to deal with the crisis, appeals are being made for people to make additional accommodation available for students entering college in the autumn.
