It has been confirmed this evening that staff at Mayo University Hospital has will begin industrial action next week in a dispute of staff shortages.
Reports say a number of INMO members will stage a lunchtime protest next Monday, after the HSE failed to fill a number of key positions at the hospital.
It is also believed from next Wednesday, December 7, midwives will begin a work-to-rule which will include a withdrawal from clerical and support duties.
Meanwhile a leading INMO spokesperson said if no progress is made, members will have no choice bt to proceed to a full withdrawal of labour.
