Irish Water has seen fit to deviate €5m that it can ill afford to paying consultancy fees since charges were suspended.
The doomed utility has burned the money on third parties in the period between May 1 to October 31.
The revelation comes after both the Government and Irish Water drag their feet on the issue of refunds for those who were either bullied or conned into paying their water charges.
Irish Water has been mired in controversy after controversy since it was first incepted, going from bad to worse and then lower year on year.
The utility has since become a text-book case on how not to implement a public service that nobody wanted in the first place.
