More nonsense: WHO issues strange night-time symptom to look out for that could mean you have the latest strain

There is a new strain of Covid that has quickly taken over as the most common version of the virus globally. Some persons have reported suffering night-time symptoms, reports The Mirror.

There has been a warning from the World Health Organisation (WHO) that the JN.1 strain “has been rapidly increasing globally”.

Ireland’s health officials said that there were 120 confirmed cases of JN.1 here in a pre-Christmas update.

An update on Thursday, January 4, stated that the strain has already been verified in 235 cases, up 115 in just two weeks.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) said: “Since November 2023, the BA.2.86 sublineage JN.1 has rapidly increased,” reports The Mirror.

It continued: “JN.1, has been increasing globally in recent weeks and was made a Variant of Interest by the WHO on December 19, 2023 due to this rapid rise. The WHO risk evaluation on limited data to date indicates that while there are likely to be increases in case numbers, there is no indication of additional public health risks relative to the other currently circulating lineages or increased disease severity,” reports The Mirror.
