Met Eireann is warning of the possibility of snowfalls overnight as temperatures drop to -5C.
According to the national forecaster, Monday evening and night will be very cold, with lingering frost and ice well into Tuesday morning.
Southern areas are expected to bear the brunt of the cold front overnight, though snow and sleet are also possible elsewhere in the country.
