“More of the same” – Uproar from many people at new Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and Green Party government

There has been much uproar on social media after Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party’s memberships all voted for the three parties to go into a coalition government together.

Micheal Martin will now become the new Taoiseach until December of 2022 and Leo Varadkar gets his turn again.

Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party will now form the next Government after all parties voted in favour of a coalition deal.

In a move that will see Fianna Fail lead the next Government for two and a half years, all three parties are believed to have voted overwhelmingly in favour of forming a coalition.

According to figures published this evening 74% of Fianna Fail party members backed deal, whilst 76% of the Green Party backed the deal.

The news comes after 80% of Fine Gael party members also agreed to the deal earlier on Friday.
