The Government have confirmed that the schools meals programme will continue until the end of the summer.
In an announcement the Minister for Social Protection Regina Doherty confirmed that the programme which provides meals for disadvantaged children will continue until the end of August.
Speaking about the decision Ms Doherty said that the Government will commit to offering meals to children over the summer holidays.
The programme which normally which normally ends at the end of the school year will continue for a further nine weeks.
