There will be little in the way of sunshine today, as cloud cover is expected to be persistent throughout the day.
There will be rain showers too, heaviest and most frequent over Leinster and Ulster. And it will be rather cool also, with temperatures ranging between 14-18C.
There will also be scattered showers overnight, but Friday will see a return of drier and more settled weather.
