Met Eireann is forecasting more weather misery today, as with wintry and hail showers likely, and temperatures remaining reaching 8C at best.
Areas across the north and west of the country will be worst affected.
The outlook is for temperatures to rise somewhat overnight, leading into a wet and rainy Friday morning.
