Most Dublin Bus and Luas services back on track after both buses and Luas trams were set on fire on Thursday night

The violence in Dublin city centre caused severe disruption for both vehicles and pedestrians on Thursday evening.

Public order gardaí had blocked roads around O’Connell Street, while protesters had used construction signs and barriers to block the road over the River Liffey from Tara Street.

As a result, a traffic light at the gridlocked junction was smashed. Tara St station in Dublin city was closed last night, but all services have reopened today, alongside Dublin Bus.
