Mother of missing teenager Elisha Gault makes an emotional plea as the search operation is in its fifth day

The search for missing Tipperary teenager Elisha Gault is continuing today and her distraught mother has issued a heartfelt plea for information.

In an emotional post Elisha’s mother Gráinne issued a the following post on Facebook: “Our hearts our absolutely broken to have not had any concrete sighting of her since the CCTV on Dillon Bridge in Carrick on Suir at 22:15pm on St Patrick’s night.”

“As we commence Day 5, Elisha Gault’s dad, her sisters, myself and all her extended family and friends, want to sincerely thank everyone that has been involved in the search of our daughter, who unfortunately has still not been located.”

“Please keep coming forward with any information you may have, no matter how small.”

“Thank you to all of the people of Carrick, parents, teenagers, sending well wishes and going out in that weather to look for her.”

She added: “Thank you to the local Gardai, River Rescue, Civil Defence, David Dunne and any other teams I’ve missed, you will be forever in my debt.”

Gráinne’s emotional plea comes as Gardai and rescue services enter the fifth day of searching for the teenager who went missing from her home at approximately 10:15pm on St Patrick’s Day.

Gráinne also took time to write that she and her family hope Elisha makes contact and that she is not in trouble, saying: “If you know of her whereabouts, tell her she isn’t in trouble, she won’t be forced to come home, if she doesn’t want to, we just want to know she’s safe and well and we can call off all the search efforts and that myself, her daddy and her 3 sisters love her very much, no matter what.”
