A 36-year-old mother who intentionally drowned her 3-year-old daughter in the bath has been jailed for a minimum of 18 years in the UK.
Claire Coleburn was found guilty of murdering her daughter Bethan last Friday. She admitted the killing, which took place in the early hours of October 19 2017, but claimed she was only trying to ‘protect’ the child from her father, with whom she was estranged.
It is understood that the marriage had ended shortly before Bethan was killed. Coleburn reportedly attempted to take her own life afterwards, but failed
