
Early this morning in Longford, a single-vehicle incident claimed the life of a thirty-something biker, reports RTE.
Around 1.15 am, there was an accident near Kilnashee, Drumlish.
There are detours in place as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators do a technical assessment of the incident, and the R198, which connects Longford and Drumlish, is still closed, reports RTE.
The Garda are requesting that anybody with information get in touch with any garda station, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or Longford Garda Station at 043 335 0570.
With the man’s passing, there have now been 118 fatalities on Irish roads this year, reports RTE.
