A 55-year-old man has sadly died this afternoon when he collided with a car at Scartbarry, Watergrass Hill, Co. Cork.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow morning.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was uninjured.
The road was closed for a time but it has since been reopened.
