Gardai in Co Kildare have confirmed that a motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision on Friday evening.
It is understood that the man aged in his 40s was seriously injured after colliding with a vehicle on the R417, in Kilberry, just outside Athy.
Gardai say the injured man was taken to Naas General Hospital where he sadly passed away a short time later.
They say the driver of the other vehicle was uninjured in the incident.
