Gardai in Cork have confirmed that man has been seriously injured following a road traffic collision.
It is understood that the man aged in his 40s was seriously injured after the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a truck on the R617 between between Tower and Blarney Tuesday afternoon.
Gardai say the injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
