Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution this morning as Met Eireann have issued a yellow status snow and ice warning for Connacht and Donegal.
The warning comes as temperatures are expected to are to drop as low as -1C.
Met Éireann say some wintry showers are expected on higher ground in Connacht and Ulster.
Temperatures on Monday are expected to range between 3 and 7C.
Met Éireann say the warning will remain in place until 11am this morning.
