Motorists are being urged to drive with caution this morning due to adverse weather conditions.
The warning comes after Met Éireann issued a yellow status snow ice warning for 20 counties on Wednesday.
The warning which will come into affect from 7am this morning comes as the forecaster revealed that their will be widespread ice across the country along with 3cm of snow on high ground.
There will also be snow in low lying areas although it is not expected to last. Met Eireann say the wintery conditions will affect counties in Munster, Connacht, Leinster and Ulster.
