Dr. John Hinds, an habitual presence at road racing events, has sadly lost his life after being involved in a motorbike crash during a practice session for the Skerries 100 yesterday evening.
He was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin but lost his battle for life earlier today.
Orginally from Northern Ireland, the 35-year-old man was a well known figure in motorbike racing circles, both in the UK and Ireland.
He worked as a consultant at Craigavon Hospital in Co. Armagh.
Tributes have been pouring in for Dr. Hinds since news of his death became known.
