In order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the much loved Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson made an appearance on the streets of London as his alter ego.
Atkinson, who is now 60-years-old, took his iconic car, a 1976 British Leyland Mini 1000, for a spin outside Buckingham Palace. Arriving in style on a sofa tied to the top of his mini, steering with a mop, the much loved character quickly gained attention from passers-by.
Bean’s adventure began in St. James’ Park, Teddy in tow, where he stopped for a selfie with the Millennium Eye and bought an ice cream. Atkinson then made his way to Buckingham Palace to greet a large crowd. A small pile of presents awaited.
Mr Bean recreated a sketch from the episode Do-It-Yourself Mr Bean, which first aired in January 1994 to celebrate.
