There are multiple weather warnings in place today due to horrendous conditions, with widespread heavy rain and strong winds almost nationwide.
According to Met Eireann, there will be heavy and persistent rainfall throughout most areas today, likely leading to localized flooding and hazardous travel conditions.
There will be a brief respite from the rain towards the afternoon, but heavy showers will return by evening and remain throughout the night.
