Police in the UK have launched a murder investigation after a 5-year-old girl died following a stabbing incident at a flat in South London.
According to Sky News, the investigation comes after the girl who has not been named was found seriously injured in a flat in Monarch Parade, Mitcham.
It is understood that the girl who was found alongside a 35-year-old woman who also suffered stab wounds, died in hospital following the incident on Tuesday afternoon.
Police investigating the girl’s death say no arrests have yet been made, but they are not currently seeking anyone else as they believe that all those involved in the incident are known to one another.
