Murder investigation under way into death of woman (80s) in Tipperary

The death of a woman whose body was discovered in Nenagh, County Tipperary, on Sunday is being investigated, reports RTE.

The woman, who was in her 80s, was discovered dead on Sunday afternoon at a house in St. Joseph’s Park.

After the woman’s body was brought to University Hospital Limerick, a post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday; the findings of this examination are being kept confidential for operational purposes.

A senior investigating officer has been hired, and the Gardaí claim they are looking into every possibility surrounding the woman’s death, reports RTE.

Gardaí have launched an appeal for information and are asking anybody who was in the St Joseph’s Park area between 8 p.m. on August 3 and noon on August 4 to get in touch with them.

Additionally, they have made a request for anyone, including drivers, who may have dashcam or other video recordings, to provide them to the gardaí.

The Garda Confidential Line at 1800 66-61-11, any garda station or Nenagh Garda Station at 067-50450 are the places to call if you have any information, reports RTE.
