A murder investigation is underway in Tyrone after the body of a 77-yr-old woman was found in a house on Ratheen Avenue in Cookstown today.
It’s understood a 45-yr-old man was arrested at his home on suspicion of murder and the woman’s body was removed from the scene last night.
According to RTE, Detective Inspector Claire McGarvey said: “Police were called to the property shortly before 11am, where the body of the 77-year-old woman was discovered inside.
“A 45-year-old male located at the property has been arrested on suspicion of murder.”
