Musican star Peter Tork of the iconic band The Monkees has sadly passed away aged 77 it has been confirmed.
Tork who shot to fame with the band who had hits including Day Dream Believer and I’m Believer, sadly passed away on Thursday a spokesperson for the singer confirmed.
In a post on Facebook, a representative said: “It is with beyond heavy and broken hearts that we share the devastating news that our friend, mentor, teacher, and amazing soul, Peter Tork, has passed from this world.”
It is understood that Tork was diagnosed with a rare form of tongue cancer in 2009.
