National Rethink Abortion rally planned for Dáil on October 20th as government plans review of abortion law

As the government hold a review of the law legalizing abortion on demand in Ireland the Life Institute has announced a ‘Rethink Abortion National Rally’ outside Dáil Éireann on October 20th at 7:30pm.

The new of Irish babies being aborted has skyrocketed since the repeal of the 8th amendment led to the legalization of abortion on demand in 2019 with 6,666 and a total of 13,243 in just two years of legalized abortion.

The rally seeks to demand the government act on a 2020 report which confirmed late-term abortions are happening in Ireland with doctors worry about being left “begging for help” for babies who survive abortion.

Pro-life campaigners also seek to oppose pro-abortionists who wish to get rid of the three-day waiting period which figures released to Carol Nolan TD suggest almost 900 babies’ lives were saved after women changed their mind in those 3 days and did not continue with abortion.

Pro-abort activists are demanding this waiting period be dropped and that the abortion law be extended so that more babies with disabilities can be aborted.

The rally is being organized by the Life Institute but is supported by various groups and politically unaffiliated individuals.
