The NCT are urging the public who’s NCT due to expire to call their nearest test centre as they say online bookings are taking longer.
The news comes as the government have introduced new rules which will see motorists recieve three penalty points for not having a valid NCT. Although
Fianna Fail have criticized the government saying the change of rules regarding the NCT should be delayed until the backlog of tests is cleared.
However Brian Farrell of the Road Safety Authority claims you can get a quicker appointment by phoning your nearest test centre.
