The head executive of the National Car Testing Service has said that the current vehicle lift suspension could be imposed for a number of weeks.
The warning comes after a suspension was implemented prohibiting the use of vehicle lifts at 47 test centres across the country.
According to RTÉ News, the head of the NCT Grant Henderson, has said that the suspension could be imposed for a number of weeks as it will take time to carry out checks on all lifts.
Although the NCT hope to get some lifts back in operation as soon as possible, they say all checks will take time and suspensions could be implemented for longer especially in circumstances were lifts have to be repaired or replaced.
