After months of rampant homelessness and evictions across the capital and elsewhere, a new housing committee has now been established in a cursory attempt to convey action on the problem.
According to acting Minister for the Environment Alan Kelly, “I’ve sought to tackle this issue from every possible angle to improve the situation for everyone in this country,” he said. “It has absolutely been my priority during my short term in the Department of the Environment.”
Members of the all-party committee will be making statements on housing and related issues throughout the evening today.
