The new cost-of-living package will include bonus payments for social welfare and children allowance recipients and an exam fee waiver.
Those in receipt of long-term social welfare will see a €200 bonus payment in April, while parents will get a €100 bonus payment per child, along with an extra €100 in the back to school clothing and footwear allowance scheme.
Leaving cert and Junior Cert exam fees have been waived again this year.
It is understood that the Government will terminate the extremely popular energy credit by the end of March, though they may be reintroduced next winter.
