The Garda Commissioner has said he has “quite enjoyed” watching the hit television series The Traitors, which has featured a serving member of the force, reports Breaking News.
The widely popular Irish edition of the reality show brings together over 20 participants from various backgrounds in a game centred on deception and intrigue.
Among the standout contestants since the beginning of the show has been Garda Eamon O’Keeffe, reports Breaking News.
O’Keeffe was picked early on as one of the show’s original “traitors,” which meant he had to conceal his true intentions and alliances from the other participants.
As part of their role, the traitors must also “murder” other players in order to eliminate them from the competition, reports Breaking News.
While speaking with reporters at the National Ploughing Championships, Commissioner Justin Kelly was questioned about whether he had been watching Garda O’Keeffe on the series.
He said: “Myself and my wife have actually watched the Traitors quite a lot and I’ve quite enjoyed it – so I have seen Eamon on The Traitors. It’s entertainment – I’m sure you’re asking from a work point of view where it is not on my radar whatsoever – I have lots of more important things to be worrying about than The Traitors. I complement the producers, it is good entertainment,” reports Breaking News.
