New guidelines now prohibit British Airways pilots to use the words ‘ladies and gentlemen’ when greeting passengers, to avoid offending gender-neutral people.

The new regulations are in place to ‘reflect diversity.

Pilots are encouraged to use ‘neutral’ terms that may not offend these minorities.
