Good news on a large scale on the jobs front, as a flurry of new positions has been announced.

US company Amax will establish a manufacturing facility in Shannon, Co. Clare, with the creation of 100 jobs over the next five years.

The company is headquartered in California, and manufactures dynamic data centre and cloud custom-server appliance and computing solutions.

The new roles will be in production, warehousing, finance and sales.

Elsewhere, Sector Alarm Corporation, the company that operates the Phonewatch alarm service, has confirmed it will create 45 new jobs in three separate locations in Dublin.

More on the jobs front, foreign exchange company TransferMate has announced 25 vacancies at its Kilkenny offices.

The company is seeking to recruit business development and sales staff.

And finally, 20 new jobs will be created following the launch of Irish TV’s new Munster regional hub in Tralee, Co Kerry.

The roles will be in a range of media categories, as the channel seeks to expand its range of locally-produced programming from the six Munster counties through its new facility in Tralee.
