New research suggests a person is more likely to have a heart attack if they are angry or upset




According to recent research a person is more likely to have a heart attack if they are angry or upset.

The new international conducted by researchers in 52 countries, including staff at NUI Galway, shows those who are under distress are twice as likely to experience heart problems.

The study also found those who physically strain themselves, by undertaking extreme exercise or heavy work are three times more likely to suffer a heart attack.

The alarming news has led to the study’s authors to strongly recommend those who are high risk to avoid emotional situations.
