New research released today suggests that the vast majority of the 1,709 people who “died from coronavirus” may not actually have died from covid-19 at all.
A large number of people who passed away and were included in the death rate either had suspected symptoms of coronavirus or died of something else and just happened to have coronavirus.
Either way, it’s been stated by social media users that it’s utterly disgraceful to hear that death numbers were overstated and that it essentially spread fear throughout Ireland without needing to do so.
