New rules now mean UK visitors to Ireland will need to quarantine for ten days




 

The Government have approved proposals that will see travellers arriving from the UK having to quarantine for ten days.

Under the new guidelines those travelling from the UK will have to quarantine for ten days if they are unvaccinated.

It is understood that visitors will have to provide two negative PCR tests on the fifth day and the tenth day of of quarantine before they are permitted to leave.

Meanwhile those who are vaccinated will be required to quarantine for a total of five days before providing a negative PCR test.

The new guidelines will come into effect from tonight and they are being introduced as concerns grow over the Delta variant.
