New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has revealed that she is to take a pay cut in an act of solidarity following the Covid-19 outbreak.
In an announcement Ardern confirmed that she and fellow ministers will cut their pay by a fifth over the next six months.
Ardern who said the pay cuts which is acknowledgement of the current situation will also be made by top public servants.
It now means Ardern who earns NZ$470,000 (€252,000) will reduce her pay to NZ$376,000 (€207,000).
