Newly appointed Taoiseach hints that re-opening of all pubs in Ireland ‘could be delayed’

The newly appointed Taoiseach Micheal Martin has hinted that the re-opening of all pubs in Ireland ‘could be delayed’ by two weeks.

The statement comes hours after pubs and bars that offer ‘substantial’ meals re-opened, leading to chaotic scenes with little or no social distancing and other issues. There are now deep concerns of a resurgence of coronavirus, as it has happened elsewhere in the world after lockdown was lifted.

All other pubs were scheduled to open on July 20, but this might now not happen.
