The government are stepping up plans for a UK divorce from the EU with no deals on trade and customs in place, the likelihood of which is increasing.
Businesses in Northern Ireland who trade with the Republic overland have been told to contact the Irish government with any preparations that will need to be made in case of a no-deal Brexit, reports.
UK businesses could face sever difficulties with red tape in trading with the EU, famed for its bloated bureaucracy, and even delays at the border for goods coming from the UK into the EU should a no-deal Brexit materialise.
Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab has emphasised that he is confident a deal will be reached between the UK and EU before March 19th when Britain will officially leave the Brussels run bloc but if they do not the Irish border will become an EU frontier.
