Nigel Farage is certainly a controversial figure, but he’s got reasons to smile today after his newly formed Brexit Party pretty much destroyed its political opponents across the UK.
The Brexit Party, which came into existence barely six weeks ago, has been declared victorious in 10 of 11 regions, picking up 28 seats and taking an overall 30% of the total number of votes.
The Tories have taken huge losses, and have been reduced to just three seats. This compares very unfavorably with 19 seats taken in the last election.
Labour have sank to 10 seats, back from 20 the last time around.
