A total of nine people have died in a mass shooting in Canada.
The killings occurred in Edmonton, Alberta. The city’s chief of police, Rod Knecht, referred to the event as the city’s worst mass murders.
A man with a long criminal rap shot dead six adults and two young children before taking his own life.
Mr. Knecht said that the incident appears to be a case of domestic violence. The killer’s name has not yet been released.
