Nine people are confirmed dead, after a small aircraft carrying parachutists crashed off the Swedish coast earlier today.
It is understood that the passengers were on a skydiving journey when the accident happened.
Witnesses say that the aircraft, a GippsAero GA8 Airvan model, crashed at high speed on an island outside the northern city of Umea. There were no survivors.
The cause of the accident is not immediately clear.
