According to a renowned genealogist, there is no proof that Kamala Harris is related to infamous Irish-born slave owner Hamilton Brown.
Megan Smolenyak, the person who tracked down Joe Biden and Barack Obama’s Irish forebears, stated she was unable to locate any documentation supporting the allegation. Reports tying the Jamaican plantation owner and US vice president together, she continued, were “twisted attempts to weaponise [her] family tree.”
Hamilton was praised by Ms. Smolenyak, who worked on the television show Who Do You Think You Are: “I have very few doubts that he did rape some of those he enslaved. No doubt his DNA is floating out there, but it’s one thing to know that on an intellectual level and to claim it with regard to somebody who might become the next president of the United States. There is no paper trail proof at all,” reports The Mirror.
According to Donald Harris, Harris’s father, he is descended from Hamilton Brown through his paternal grandmother Christiana Brown.
However, Ms. Smolenyak said that trolls and Donald Trump’s fans were manipulating the supposed slave owner relationship. “We’re dealing with clickbait garbage,” the woman declared. I had to provide evidence to support my assertion that Barack Obama was a native of Moneygall,” reports The Mirror.
