No side say voting No is the only way to prevent abortion on demand, yes side say it would be abortion up to 12 weeks and up to 6 months for mental health cases

In one last ditch attempt to win undecided votes, yes campaigners say if yes wins it’ll be abortion for any reason whatsoever up to 12 weeks and up to 6 months on a mental health basis.

No campaigners are canvassing undecided voters claiming that if yes wins, it’ll be abortion on demand for any reason up to 12 weeks and up 6 months if the woman reports mental health issues to her doctor.

Today’s referendum sees a yes or No option to repealing or saving the Eighth Amendment. The Eighth Amendment in the Constitution is currently the only protection unborn Irish babies have against abortion.

Voting is well underway across the country will polling stations open until 10pm tonight.
