Tech company Nokia has announced that it’s cutting up to 10,000 jobs worldwide to free up funds to invest in 5G technology development.
About 11% of the firm’s workforce will lose their jobs, it has emerged, which will equate to savings of around €600m.
Nokia has fallen significantly behind other international companies such as Huawei and Ericsson, which have been able to develop 5G technology faster.
