Nora’s mother now claims she heard ‘muffled and whispering sounds’ on the night Nora disappeared.
She further claimed that she did nothing as she was asleep and ‘not fully conscious.’
Nora Quoirin, who was 15 at the time and had special needs, vanished from her room in the Malaysian resort where she was staying on August 4, 2019. She was found dead 9 days later.
At an inquest, local authorities said that there could not find any criminal element in the case, and that there was no evidence that Nora had been forcibly taken.
